week 1 - check

And what a great week it was!

I love, love, love my class!

Here's what my classroom looked like at the beginning of the week.

Since then, we've added our own graphs to the Math Wall. 

And the Reading Wall is ready for next weeks story.

The front of the room is soon to be filled with pictures of my Rock Stars.

The board behind my desk is soon to be filled with Rock Star work.

The AR Stars board will be filled with library pockets and AR goals.

The theme board will fill up little by little with book titles.

The cabinets over the sink will soon fill up with words for adjectives, nouns, and verbs.

This is the first thing my students will see on the door.

I will be teaching Math, Science, and Social Studies.

I have a partner who will be teaching Reading and Language Arts.

We are color coding to make our lives easier,  
green for me, and blue for her.

I found the funky zebra print file folders which I used for the back border.

I had the signs laminated.  

Now all I have to do is add some magnet strips and put it on my door.   

I'm starting to get back-to-school fever.  :)

♥Open House "Mini Me"♥

"Mini Me" Poster People 

  Send home an outline on tagboard of a head, torso, and arms with each students to create their own "mini me".  Encourage them to make their "mini me" resemble themselves as much as possible.  During Open House you'll have the quietest, cutest class sitting at their desks ready to learn!

I ♥blogging & I ♥ teaching.  So, why not put the two together.  I have been so inspired by the plethora of teacher blogs that I just had to start my own.  I would love to share things I create & share the awesomeness I find from all the other teachers in blog world.  I still have a lot to learn about posting printables to share so I ask that you be patient with me.  If you see something I've done that you like, please let me know.  Also, if you have any advice you can share, I would appreciate it!!!
